haha and that's exactly what made it funny hehehe. sad thing is it shouldn't make any difference in traction, should spin more actually with the steeper gears, correct me if i'm wrong.

mistake

i didnt mean to put that there my bad. but um with the bfgoodrich drag radials i will have better traction with the posi and without the bggr gear

if you want good traction like at the track, get posi of coarse and 3.73 (if you still want some highway gear) or ne thign higher for a good launch. with soem good slicks you'll be outa the whole pretty fast as long as you dont have a TON of horsepower that will break your rear end

Limited Slip-

An eaton posi will help, but another thing that helps and determines your traction is your suspension set-up and weight transfer...

A little more info on what you have and what you are doin and what you want would help!!

Lower Control Arms. Panhard Rod, Rear Sway bar, and Mickey Thompson Drag Radials will do WONDERS for traction!

If its a 6-speed im guessing a T-56, you could have a 4.10 posi and still get good mileage better launch as well

archemedes 03-01-2005 10:08 PM

gears won't give traction though you need to do the whole suspension

69z-28 03-01-2005 10:10 PM

yep, but if you have a good suspension AND a 6 speed, then why not put 4.10's in, still get good top end, and a launch from hell.lol 3.73's will work too tho.lol

but yea if you just put 4.10s in a stock 7.5 and you have 400 horse, and good suspension and your launchin' like a bastard, that rear end wont hold up long at all.
