True Duals???

My local shop is going to do a motor swap for me i had a LT1 with the hot cam and some more stuff needless to say a illegal hit me with no license, no insurance, and come to find out the car was stolen...so we got ripped a noew one lol. but they are telling me i need to run the exhaust down the sides of the car as close to the doors as we cain get them. they are saying that i will get my fuel lines and stuff too hot...so im stuck is anyone having this problem and what is a great setup i want bullets for sure. thanks

Most people that run a Y-pipe just wrap the fuel lines in header type heat wrap. I haven't heard any bad effects of doing this. Running the pipes as close to the doors as possible does not sound like a very good idea. Get the relocation bracket for the panhard rod and just run true duals down the center and over the axle with a H-pipe. I would also recommend using chambered mufflers instead of bullets. I know from personal experience that they sound much better. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I went with Sweet Thunder Chambered mufflers. They sound down right sick.
