Yah you're going to have probs. Most smog shops will fail a car if it doesn't have a "noise reducer" like a muffler. You might get away with it becuase I know the GMMG exhaust is nothing more than chambered pipes but they still count as a noice reducer, bullets are no better than glasspacks and you will run into problems like that here. Sucks to be us huh?

you will be fine. i passed my test a few months ago with my bullet. sound is no concern to smog stations. most hardly care about all emissions equipment. its easy to lie about the visual check, but you cant fake the sniffer.

I don't think that it will be a huge problem for you- unless you go to a place that is really tough on their inspections...but I know around here some places would fail my car for the exhaust that is on it- I obviously don't take it to those places. Pretty simple solution if you ask me.
Headers and cats though are tougher to get around though.. |

yeah mufflers have absolutely nothing to do with smog.
a bullet is in the muffler category of summit, but i'd consider it more of a resonator. i have one on my car instead of the stock muffler. this is what it looks like: |
