i got this idea awhile ago...... tell me what you think

Taking the little storage area in front of the shifter out on my 95 camaro.... and fiberglassing this into it..Attachment 158363
is an autometer gauge pod for a 69 camaro.....

PHDcamaro 04-10-2006 07:41 PM

if someone thaught of this before me and did it ill be pissed.. lol

paarman97maro 04-10-2006 07:49 PM

go for it! good luck if you end up doing it.

mxracerbrian 04-10-2006 08:31 PM

yeah i think it would be kinda cool...good luck

NoRiceInside 04-10-2006 09:07 PM

problem is, that storage area is vertical...it would be best to have the gauges vertical unlike that panel which slants them. plus it would be hard to fit two rows of 2 1/16 gauges there.

PHDcamaro 04-10-2006 09:14 PM

take the storage thing out... its only held ib by what looks like plastic spot welds

NoRiceInside 04-10-2006 09:40 PM

no ****. of course you take it out. but then if you mounted it at the angle it is supposed to be at it would be under your radio a bit.

V6Cam 04-10-2006 10:07 PM

but you should still be able to see the guages...id build an all custom one...like from scratch

69z-28 04-10-2006 10:08 PM

that would be sweet if it was done right. and the new concept camaro has more 69 style cause theyre supposed to be rectangular. that peice is aftermarket to fit round gauges in it. still woudl be awesome.

a bit of fiberglass and a die grinder and it could look really good, go for it, who cares if another car has it, it's not common (yet)
