Nice, I love how good the car shines after a good wax.

Bernotas05 07-05-2007 07:28 PM

Indeed, gotta love that just waxed look.
I used to hate when I would get the formula all shined up then you pull in somewhere and all you see if fingerprints all over by the door handle area, from the passenger seat. One of the many ****** things about black paint.

yea im about to go and buff it out...cant wait to see the results.

CheM 07-05-2007 08:06 PM

I always thought it was best to do a panel at a time, but I guess it doesn't matter as long as you have an electric buffer or the stamina to swirl it around for a long time.

yea, its tough work, Im takin a few min break, i just got the whole front end done, wait untill i get it out in the sun, its going to look fukin . Ill take some pics, the best i can get is 6.1 mega pix...so yea the cracks and creveses is the real time consuming part to taking the wax off.

Good stuff, I love a freshly waxed car.
Maybe I'll do mine tomorrow.

98CamaroZ28 07-05-2007 11:30 PM

yea it got a little late, so the pics didnt turn out the best, but hey on the last pic you can definitly see the reflection hardcore, think I did a good job?

CheM 07-05-2007 11:52 PM

The car looks sick. I really love that color, too. Almost looks orange.
Is it okay to polish over polish? Does polish leave a layer of anything on paint? I used some TurtleWax F21 stuff on our Z and it really cleaned up the dusty paint, but there are a few spots that look dull compared to the nice spots. Could I just polish over the already polished paint and be okay? Or do I need to use some kind of remover or something?

It might have been late but the pictures clearly show the improvment.

I know the feeling. A good detail job takes forever.

I think I'll install my Strano sway bars and then detail the entire car as it's looking pretty rough from the CSF trip.
