Looking at buyin a 81 z28 some rus on doors and trunk atherwise all complete and in good working condition .Whats it worth ??

depends on the severity of rust, but for an '81 no more than about $1200 there are just too many out there.

what engine and trans? and how mutch rust? but i say as archemedes no more than $1200 even though they are harder to find in sweden.

I have seen some very very nice ones that can barely bring in $5000. Your talking about the most plentiful year (there were more built in '81 than any other year) and it's a car that most people see as just a used car they don't have the value yet

Actually '79 was the most plentiful year. And if you're looking to buy it as an investment: don't. Just about any Camaro other than 67-73 is a bad investment. I bought mine because it's a good platform to make big horsepower for cheap. I know I'll never get out of it what I have in it.

Having said all that, check for rust on the rear frame rails of the unibody. It is a pain in the *** to replace, and you need fabrication skills. Also, 81 is the first year of the computer, and if you plan to make horsepower with it you'll need to ditch the computer.
