Well some bad news and some good news.

Bad news is, When I bolted my bellhousing to the block, the converter wasn't set all the way in and I damaged the tranny pump. The converter must have slipped out a bit somehow.

The good news is that I was going to either rebuild my tranny or get a new one to handle the power anyway.

So the question is....what to do......

1) Get the 700r4 I have now rebuilt to handle the power.

2) Buy a new 700r4 that will handle the power.

3) Convert it to a manual.

4) Do some other combination.

I dont have a billion dollars to spend on this so think of that also.

thats weak... how far back is this going to set you? I was hoping to see your car at least once this summer.

I don't really know. Depends how quick I find a tranny and what I decide to do..

well hows the engine coming along? IMO, dont put more work on your shoulders than you need to, along with money. LIke converting it to manual I think would cost a bit of a penny. Just find somthing simple, average, that will work with what you want.

What Im trying to say is down count yourself short, find somthing you really want that doesnt cost a left nut and wont put more workload on you.

yeah they're hard to determine sometimes just how far they need to go in. just when you think its all the way back, you give it a lil spin and a push and it goes more lol

sorry to hear about that tho

I recently got a level 3 Raptor 700r4 tranny with a bunch of their other goodies and its great http://www.transmissioncenter.net/700MegaRaptor.htm

well I had so much other crap on my mind that I just totally forgot to check it. I know how far back the converter should be and I just simply didnt check it...but whatever....that tranny was gonna go anyway. The engine would have been done and In today if it wasnt for this little prob.
