What does everyone use to wax their car?
 

What do you use to apply and remove wax, diper cloth, microfiber, old shirt, anything else? :confused:

microfiber, have used new socks also never a t shirt

Going to invest in some microfiber soon, last time I just used an old T-Shirt. :lolsign:

wal mart has some decent towels cheap just make sure and pull the tags

I work at an audio parts store, employs discount means I only buy the best.;)

I use lake county pads to put mine on, and microfiber towels to take it off with some detailing spray.

Weird, it always seems people use microfiber to just take wax off but never use it to apply wax.:confused:

I had a paint job damaged by a diaper once (black truck with a custom flame job)after having to wheel that thing and get the wheel marks out I switched

See that is why I'm asking all these questions ;) , when I get a new paint job I'm going to try to baby it as much as possible but I know that paint can easily be damaged by using the wrong kind of material to apply and remove wax. So you recommend using a microfiber for applying the wax too?

yep and do not wax a new paint job for at least 30 days I prefer 90 unless baked, you can't use too soft a cloth unless compounding

I use an applicator that I bought from autopia car care. It has a foam grip on the top and is very comfortable to use... won't cramp your hand at all.

those work well and are soft too

well i use eagle one quick wax and they recommended some terry clothes, so i use those.

I'm assuming you meant the foam applicators I'm talkin about, if not then disregard this... but yeah definitely agree. My only complaint with the applicator I have... (It's blue, the actual "applicator" part is black, and it has a nice foam sponge on top with a handle) is that the entire applicator is pretty big. It just barely fits into my Meguiar's Gold Class wax. Otherwise, 10 stars to the applicator because it's **** good and I haven't had any problems with it yet.
