what else could be wrong????

ive changed the opti cap the coil the plugs the plug wires. my car is still running ruff whats wrong??

Rough how? It might not be ignition related (and if you've changed all that most likly it isn't). Tried cleaning your injectors? How long has it ben since you changed the fuel fliter? Just a thought it might be that your fuel systme is really dirty.

The cap isn't what goes bad on the Optis most of the time, should have changed the whole unit.

any codes (the computer will tell what cylinder is dead) what kind of gas (using the cheapest available injectors may be dirty) start simple check vaccuum hoses replace fuel filter (every other oil change it should be done) run a can of seafoam through it won't hurt

cwfblackz28 02-24-2005 04:34 PM

well i got exhaust put on it a week or 2 before all this happend, and when it was running you could hear the exhaust pipes banging against something right under the passanger seat??? so thats how rough it was running but its been over a month now and they still dont know whats wrong

archemedes 02-24-2005 08:34 PM

check the ground at teh back of the block if it's disconnected the engine loses ground and won't run right

cwfblackz28 02-25-2005 01:34 AM

they found out what it was i guess just wires, but now it's running pretty good on the top end which is wierd cuz i thought it was the other way around?? but under like 3 grand before the skip shift hits the car seems to stumble its not acting like an lt1 with new headgasket, heads mild, plugs, wires, coil and cap???? :banghead: what could be wrong now??

archemedes 02-25-2005 11:58 PM

fuel filter will do that, do a brake stand (don't let the tires break lose hold firm pressure) does it stumble under load?
