paarman97maro 04-24-2006 08:57 AM

its a pretty ground!

97z2801ss 04-24-2006 10:45 AM

dont think its a scam, 6 bucks, looks pretty and it looks to make sure u have a good clean ground for your electrical system.

Str8upChevy 04-24-2006 10:46 AM

I don't get it....:headscrat

What's with that round plate holding 8 "ground" wires? Is it suppose to come with all those wires, or is it just the terminal and 1 ground wire?

Whatever it is.....it looks pretty stupid to me.

the purpose is to upgrade the factory useless grounds (if you have anything aftermarket you are overloading the factory 12 gauge ground wire) number one cause of electrical problems in a car is bad grounds (your body ground is actuallu a 20 gauge wire so if grounding an amp that 8 gauge wire is useless)

97z2801ss 04-24-2006 01:55 PM

what i couldnt figure out how to say arch... thanks!

NoRiceInside 04-24-2006 08:40 PM

why do you guys think its a scam just? the fact that its useless doesnt make it a scam.

i do see the point of upgrading your grounds, but an 8-way splitter is rediculous.

I agree, looks like some nice amp power wire though...

your supposed to run all audio grounds to teh same point (say you have a bunch of amps you should ground them together)

imported_2fast4u 04-26-2006 02:01 PM

it is also used for factory grounds so instead of grounding them to the chasis the ground goes directly to the batt to get a 100% good connection (unless ur batt or terminals are messed up) my friend has one on his neon and it does look good under the hood

mxracerbrian 04-26-2006 02:47 PM

hmmm probably not the first thing id buy for a car.....

Str8upChevy 04-26-2006 03:28 PM

Well, thankfully I don't have to worry about that with the Powercell I'm running. All my Audio Equiptment runs through the 0 Gauge power cable from my car battery, back to the Powercell (battery) where everything is hooked to it. I'm running 0 gauge ground from the Powercell to the distribution block, then 4 gauge ground to the big amp, and 8 gauge to the 4ch amp.

That little cubby hole back where the stock sub was, sure makes for a great place to store a second battery. ;)

Trying to find a good ground in the trunk on the Camaro was a bish if I remember. All fiberglass. I also remember that grounds need to be very short runs too. So running it all the way back to the battery seems to defeat that purpose of having a 100% ground.
