It could the Opti, does it have rough a idle?

NoRiceInside 12-13-2004 11:59 PM

oh yeah duh. i forgot how unreliable the opti is.

cwfblackz28 12-14-2004 02:20 AM

yeha it does ride pretty rough at idle.. how do you check that?? and how much would that run me??

RFF 12-14-2004 02:24 AM

I haven't check the price on Opti's as of late but I'm guessing around $300 installed. Their is no real way of knowing if it is the Opti or not, you will know if you car just stops running. :eleph: Seriously though, if youhave the money just replace the Opti with a different starting system all together.

could be ur plugs and wires, fuel filter, cap and rotor, coil, could be lots of things!!!

archemedes 12-14-2004 04:58 PM

is the ses light on? see if you get any trouble codes has the fuel filter been changed recently (that should be done every other oil change) look at the plugs are any discolored?

1BADZ 12-14-2004 05:02 PM

well i guess i learned something, i didnt know fuel filter was every other oil change, but i guess i might start doin that! but i have had a new just recently put on!

archemedes 12-14-2004 05:05 PM

it's not supposed to be but 10,000 miles, but while you have it lifted at 6,000 might as well they are cheap
