I wasnt directing at you mr. v8... ;)... Youre getting new ones anyway.

Just dont get the snowflakes... Your rims you have now look much better.

FORCE_FED_Z 01-02-2007 10:57 AM

The answer you are looking for is if the tires maintain the same overall diameter then your speedo won't be messed up. In other words if you run a stock tires from an SS on your V6 then it won't. If you try and stuff a taller or shorter tire then yes, you can throw off the speedo slightly.

ITSA6 01-02-2007 11:04 AM

i was talking about the ten spokes not the snowflakes

FamousZ 01-02-2007 11:24 AM

SOMBirdV6 01-02-2007 08:11 PM

My speedo is off by 33mph!!;) ;) ;) :p :p :p

Nah I kid, It wont change anything.

paarman97maro 01-02-2007 09:17 PM

Guess what happens at 87 mph though?

2000v6cam 01-02-2007 09:23 PM

i didnt read everyones post to see if anyone said it but, the speedo will only change if the wheel diameter changes is the size is the same then it wont matter what kind of wheels u get they will all work fine

NoRiceInside 01-02-2007 10:10 PM

hey if anyone else wants to know exactly, our big o tires extranet has a dimension calculator that gives everything, even what speed youre going at certain speedo readings.

i know that a 245/50/16 and a 275/40/17 are nearly identical, as is a 315/35/17, and a 275/35/18. which are all, conveniently, vette replica sizes.
