Where is my damn FUEL PUMP RELAY??

Ok i have a 1996 camaro 3.8L and i want to check my fuel pump relay!!! i know that the car should have one because at the dealer and napa they have it in the part manual!!!!

so now in my desnaging process i want to check it

Phate 09-20-2007 01:28 PM

The fuel pump relay is part of the fuel pump itself, they cannot be purchased seperately.

I must be wrong but i thought it was under the dead pedal or in the same spot on the passenger side? Isnt there some fuses/relays down there?

Phate 09-20-2007 02:37 PM

Oops, thanks for hopping in Sman. I was thinking of the sending unit not the relay. Yes, there is a fuel pump relay under the hood... somewhere lol.

Yes, under the dead pedal. The plastic kick panel where your left foot would rest you have to take off. It's fairly obvious after that.

Ha, turns out I am good for something, lol. Not quite sure how I know that, never had to screw with mine and I've never had the dead pedal off before?!? Dumb luck I guess, lol.

Here's a link from an older thread that explains it with some pics. Good luck!
