haha, i saw this picture on canada.com and thought i'd put a caption to it ...

http://home.cogeco.ca/~sthiele9/gas_prices.jpg

i know i know, it affects us all, and in a way we're probably getting more owned since most of us buy 94 octane gas (which is usually 12 cents above the display) but i dunno, it's still kinda funny pic

GinoBeats 04-06-2005 02:45 PM

 Ah doesn't matter what I drive, have been around for years and always lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it whether it be parts or actual work or whatever. Anyways yeah its a fully built 3400 3.4 from an '04 Impala with 400 miles from the yard. Completely disassembled her and just waiting on a few parts so I can put it all together and drive the car. Cam just came back last week. Just a few pics here, lots more work done. I had the 3.1 last year fed by Vortech that I dropped in a couple of years ago as well as changing it over to 5spd a couple of years ago as well. Good motor I built then, Some of the older guys might of remember the first swap from the old Costco meets. I sold it to a guy in the states and since then has got it running and is enjoying it.

Motor when I brought her home

ahhh, i knew it you would have a sick setup. i can tell by the look of your 2nd gen in the sig, very clean and purposeful look. 04' Impala V6 plus high compression, cams..... WOW, can't go wrong with that. :thumbsup

i'm guessing this beast is going in the second gen.? the only way this combo gets better is if u had a first gen. some people have made those look really clean and badass :thumbsup

whats your gas prices in toronto? Here its 94

GinoBeats 04-07-2005 09:03 AM

Nah no time for clubbing in a while, too much work and getting cars and engines ready for the season. But yeah she is going into the cav, it'll be the quickest setup yet that hs been in the car. Can't wait to bring the car out so I can drive it, I was chilling at a timmies last night and talking to a few people almost made me puke by the massive amount of bs they were talking. Oh yeah I couldn't care less if anyone dislikes pushrod engines, GM, etc, Anyways good luck with everyone's projects, should be a fun year

hmm....my new intake sits on my coffee table fully assembled (TB, injectors, the works).....looks pretty cool.

my new rad is in the kitchen with my guages....my new MAF is sitting on my computer table next to my guages....

so ya, slowly getting the parts....like u said GinoBeats, its gonna be a great summer.

GinoBeats 05-01-2005 03:38 PM

For sure man haven't seen your car in a while, But yeah she's coming together, the entire delay has been from Wiseco who now won't be shipping the pistons until next week or if shipping is a bitch I'll head down there and get them myself as they are only in north east Ohio which is a 4 hour drive (almost same spot as the yard that I bought my engine from) So she'll be out in less than a couple of weeks, can't wait to hear how she sounds this time

jdmsleeper 05-02-2005 01:14 AM

:smilie_da it's sad seeing them add the extra digit to the front of the signs, we're definately getting :owned:

GinoBeats 06-05-2005 10:14 PM

Here is a sneak peek of the bottom end with the pan off. Looks like a stock short block doesn't it? Quite a few differences to the trained eye

FR_K20crx 06-07-2005 10:33 AM

no word of a lie i paid about 10cents on sat for esso supreme gas i even went home to get jerry cans and other cars by the end of the night i had about 30 of my buddies cars filling up at 10cents at about 5am.
what happened was the pumps were messed and reading 10cents for supreme instead of 1dollar something.

GinoBeats 06-08-2005 12:37 AM

Ah that would be JBP aka jbodyperformance, good friend of mine. But yeah I'll have her all put together before saturday so can't wait to bring drive the car once again, I've had the car since it was new off the lot so there have been lots of good memories with the thing

Damn!!!

Ginobeats , that motor looks sick!!! I have not seen that many GM 6 cylinder motors done up that nice. How much power do you think it will make ?

You mentioned before that you had a 3.1 , how much power did that make and what did you have done to it?

Are the guys at jbodyperformance expensive and do they work on other GM cars? ( I have a beretta GTZ myself that's why i am curious)

FukenRiceN 06-21-2005 03:07 PM

lol about time

GinoBeats 06-21-2005 03:18 PM

Thanks man ah i'm sure she will put out enough for me  But yeah I changed the car over to a 2.8 v6 when I blew my original 4cyl. Had that for a year and then built a 3.1 for it, didn't have much done to it besides heads, cam, valvetrain, and fresh new parts, had a blower setup towards the end of the year but sold the motor in february and built this. Yeah they work on other GM cars, the work and quality is top notch, you get what you pay for. For example we could of made the headers for half the price but the time put into calculations..r & d and production separates them apart from others.

brianb 06-21-2005 03:47 PM

jbp

^^ Nice , i think I will check em out. I bought a small turbo and I need it put on my car and its hard to find a good shop that works on GM cars that know what they are doing. Thanks for the info.
