life in prison for smuggling weed? man thats a lil harsh. 20 years is about right i guess. Personally i dont think smuggling and smoking weed shouldnt be that big of a deal.
"Her lawyers say the drugs -- nine pounds of marijuana -- were planted in her baggage. "
Who would believe that?

Using carriers to get drugs over a boarder is a known tactic.

Marijuana should be legal. It's a darn PLANT people. I would rather see pot legal then alcohol. We grow pot, we smoke pot. It's just like a cigar! To get alcohol, we have to brew the stuff for days and let is ferment and add barley and hops and other chemicals. Which sounds more like cocaine to you guys?

that much she was dealing, 20 years is about right, but being as it's still an illegal drug you have to treat it the same as if it was crack so the law says life for dealers everyone gets life (I believe in truth in sentencing also)

yeah and meth is only household chemicals.
There are far more long term affects on the regular use of weed, than there are alochol. im not saying alochol dosen't have long term affects, just diffrent ones.

marijuana is a drug that has harmful effects and has ruined lives. Just because there's something worse or is a plant doesn't mean it should be legal.

meissen 05-27-2005 06:08 PM

:lolsign: Well guess we know who the druggies are now.

Personally, I say tough **** shouldn't of had 9 pounds of weed. Marijuana definitely ruins lives, just like alcohol. Two of my classmates that I was close with died because of marijuana-related ****. You can say "Oh, it wasn't the marijuana directly that caused it" but fact of the matter is, if it weren't for the marijuana it wouldn't have happened. Just because some ****ers say "Oh, weed's cool, let's get high" like ****heads other people that want to be "cool" do it too, and then they turn into the hardcore druggies whose lives are ruined. Dumb****s. I'm pretty strict on all that ****, though, in my opinion alcohol and cigarettes should be added to the list of illegal drugs as well.

Nothin gets me goin more than cigs, tho. For one, it should be illegal to smoke in restaraunts or in ANY public place AND in cars. Yes, cars have windows, yes there's tons of air outside, but I'll be damned every single time there's someone smoking in the car infront of me, next to me, behind me, or ANYWHERE around me, I don't even have to see their cig, the second we come to a stop sign I start choking from the smoke because I have to smell it. Restaraunts... plain and simple it's freaking disgusting when I'm trying to eat that some ******* has to light up and smoke, it's just inconsiderate.

Mike Jones 05-27-2005 06:27 PM

In Kenosha it's illegal to smoke in restaraunts. There's no such thing as a smoking and nonsmoking sections.

meissen 05-27-2005 07:55 PM

Bah, wish that's how it was in Michigan. I can't stand going out to eat because even if we're in the non-smoking section all you can smell is the smoke from all the other people.

If you don't smoke when you're around it, it burns you lungs. Instead of always sticking up for people who do it we should look at the people who are forced to live with this crap. It's been proven so unhealthy over and over so why should we have to deal with it?!
