well when you can do the work yourself you can build anything pretty much.
you dont neccesarily need an endless amount of money to build something.
keep your eyes peeled on deals ,jump around on different car forums.

yup check the for sale sections. buy used parts when you can, trade for your old . and saving is a big one. dont expect to buy expensive things right away. try saving money by not going out all the time, not eating out all the time, and drinking less. youll see a huge increase in your wallet.

well, when i was 17 i was lucky, i had a job back then that was paying me a bit over $17, i felt rich!

I still lived check to check as i spent all my money on car audio gear, seriously, my checks were spent before they showed up :P

MY folks helped me with insurance, i didn't have a cell phone, i had a pager back then which was a 1x yearly fee of around $120, compared to a cell phone which is $100+ a month

It cant be easy to do it these days. Most the stuff kids do for fun these days costs mucho money, clubs, bars etc.

We used to actually play street hockey, baseball etc...times have changed. LOL

Save your money and go buy a half decent car... want turbo, bov etc, SRT-4. Want awd, buy a talon.

i would plan your purchase based off insurance rates. When a civic costs more than a 5L to insure, there are problems!

do what i did when i was a lil younger i took a huge blue water bottle thsoe like 15L or w.e ones u can buy i put castign on the top so i couldn get into it
n i cut a hole in it small enought to put bills into but not take out
i taped all foteh pictures or cars i wanted parts i liked to getme jelous enought to put money into. I stareted with 20bucks a week the 40 and soon iw as putting in like 80bucks a week for a total of 320 a month in saving. everytime i wante dto break in n take money to spend i looekd at the pics and i felt guilt either go watch movie or turbo. Eitehr buy bigmac meal or new rims and so on.

As gay and corny as my idea sounds it worked outtttt. I save dover 10grand liek that beleive it or not.

You should think about the best way to spend your money. Once you have found a car that fits your budget (incl. insurance /gas/ maintenance fees) you can buy used parts from forums like this one, or if you're really straped on cash get a sponsorship
