After Highschool
Well, Im in my grade 12 year and I have decided I would like to go into the automotive field. I have looked at many school course programs and one that caught my attention was the Centenial College course, but I was wondering if anyone has gone anywhere else or done any other types of training.
So basically: Give me your insight on post highschool automotive education and where I can get more information. |
im at the same position that your at .... what im doing now is working at a BMW Dealership as a Car Jockey/ Car Washer (part time )and once i complete highschool im gonna do my Apprenticeship (full time) their and go to Centennial College.
So right now , find youself a job at any Dealership/Shop doing what im doing , and step your way up. |
if you want in the real automotive field go to university and get a bachelors in mechanical engineering, this can lead you right into the auto industry, and many others. It's a hard ass 4 years but when you're done you'll be making at least 50g's a year..thats to start...good luck!

wat ever u do dont become a mechanic... the industy is not as good as it was 10-20 years ago

Be careful.
I know a fully licensed bus/Truck mechanic who has a Mc job and Washes cars for a living. Check the feild before putting everything into it. |
www.thecai.on.ca this is by far the best automotive "non-mechanic" program in Canada. You can do anything when you graduate from selling cars to working for an OEM at head office or work for an aftermarket co.
