Does anyone know what I have to do with my T4? I've been paid cash on my previous jobs untill last winter, and I have no idea how to get my tax refund for this year.

Your T4 holds the four important #'s you need to file your tax.. Total income for that year, Federal tax, CPP and EI.. You can do it yourself the old fasioned way or now on the internet. (i forgot the url) its easy, its step by step, asking for those #'s.. Or you can screw yourself and get a tax agent to do it for you.. The best thing is to find an accountant you trust and give him al the information including T4 and he wil do the rest..

Theres more to it htough, for example if you went to post secondary school, your college or university will supply you with the information to claim.. If you had any workmans comp. given to you, you can claim that.. If your job required you to drive long distance and you had to feed yourself, you can claim that... theres so much you can possibly claim.. like rent and property tax, mortgage tax.... so much

Well I only worked about 7 months last year, and didn't make that much money. I heard that if my income is under a certain ammount I get all the taxes I paid back? Does it include the Employees CPP & EL premiums, or just the income tax?

General 02-21-2005 11:14 PM
