I brought a brandnew 3550 Tremec trans over a couple of years ago, but that's a fraction of size when compared to a dirt bike.

If I could offer you one piece of advice, make sure the previous owner writes up a low ball final price on the bike, thus taxes will be cheaper.

but u'r taking the chance that the border guard won't know n e thing about what is coming across, and that could you if they know anything. 'ive seen it happen before. just dont go too low on the price.

Good point, but I would sincerely hope the buyer is aware of that. You never know, maybe the owner is a tight-ass and won't be as flexible. For the most part, the Canadian border official are real lenient when a Canadian citizen is returning into the country.

When I was in Canada 2 weeks ago on vacation, I visited my partners in W. N.Y. Anyhow, when I returned home through the border, I reached into the console to grab my passport, and little behold there was two others there (mothers/brothers). So there I am holding 3 passports and the border official is starring at me with a scarce look. I told him they were family members, and he didn't even check them. "I understand, have a nice day," he said.
Funny situation to say the least.
