any engineering program is a sausage fest with 1/2 of the class mates dunno the meaning of "muff diving", and rest of the 1/2 are alcoholics and chronics.

hope that answer your questions.

It is better that way.

It is hard enough trying to follow Dragan/Arravind, adding girls into the picture would make it so much harder to pay attention. :la:

I only go to 1/2 of Dragan's classes, Arravind just bugs me with my drawings, and I have to deal with taking night classes at Mac.

I'm not a Civil engineer, nor I'm done school, but most likely you'll either hate or love your job. The possible situations are the following:

1) you work in the office/lab and do all the drawing, calculations, while 1/2 of ur co-workers are bunch of nerds that likes to take that long route to the washroom so they can say hi to the girls working in HR. (and they are ugly), BUT you'll probally get a nice workstation, which is great for playing LAN BF1942 (yes, I did play games at work)

2) you work for a company that you are constanly on the site monitoring and yelling at people, you go home and smell like , and you complaint to your mom about the new contractor that only hires new immigrants to cut down budget can't understand a word you are saying. But you love the fact you can yell at the workers "YOUR FAMILY IS HERD OF HOMOSEXUAL DONKEYS" while they smile at you. And your 8-10hrs day will fly by when you yell at people, much better than 8-10hrs of BF1942.

3) you get sick of it and decide to become a contractor, first 10yrs you'd eat Kraft Dinner just so you won't have the fear of going bankrupt, then you married your accountant. And you become rich, old and fat.

50% of the above situations may come true, but not all, give it a try, my buddy's a civil eng grad from Mac with minor in MBA, he worked for Toronto Hydro for a while, he says it was the most boring job he ever had, he now works for some contractor company that's working at Pearson. He says its fun cause you get to get high in the newly built washroom. And he gets to go to Dubai/Europe/Asia to see/do/smoke/buy cool stuff.
