Hell id be pretty pissed too if i went into the army thinkin id only have to go once a month, then all this crap over iraq

no they signed up for one weekend a month, 2 weeks a year.. and this was an unpleasant side effect.

Yeah but they know that's part of it, why would we have the Army reserve if we couldn't use them?!

cause most of the time we don't. That's why most of the people that join go there instead of regular military.

You're right, most of the time we don't but they still know they could get called to duty at any time.

Yeah, signing up for the army reserve thinking they would only do the above amount of time is totally pointless, that's a horrible excuse to be considered in the military if they're going to get cranky when they get put on duty. If they truely think they're only going to go one weekend a month, two weeks a year then they really don't get any of my respect. Granted, I'm not in the military at all, but I don't try flaunting "I'm a reservist" like I'm sure they try to do... prolly use it as their pickup lines. [end rant]
