Arch, yeah that Valentine 1 is a GREAT radar detector, I've seen a lot of reviews on those (The k40 I just found in a search on yahoo)

And of course, nothing is 100% proof, but if you normally only drive like 15 mph over max, the radar will save you quite a few times.. I've been saved atleast a dozen times by my radar detector, and it's one of the Cobra's.

you guys ever hear of the phantom, i just heard a commercial about it, they said that its so good that if you get a ticket the company will pay it

They gonna take the points off your license too?

Why not just not speed or use cruise control?

That's the only radar detector I've ever used, and I've never had a ticket...For anything.

well like i said earlier i rarely speed but everytime i do it seems like the fuzz is right there. i was just gonna pick one up for when i move cause 650 miles at like 60-65 mph is gonna be ruff

I can't stand to go under 50.

archemedes Mar 15, 2005 10:41 PM

I have a remote mount bell that is nice but I rarely go much over 5 over, a windshield mount type is less sensitive (metal parts block teh signal and many people mount it behind the wipers)many companies offer to pay tickets, but you need to see the fine print some say anything above 5 over tehy don't pay (and very few cops will stop you for 5 over)

I am going to go with miss and 69-z28 my friend with the monte has one and it goes off just if a cop is driving down the road one night it was like 1/4 mile away it picked him up and it was going crazy the whole time.

Ryan's too. His Caddy got stuck on wide open throttle going down the high way when he used the cruise for the first and only time. He was going a little over 100 before the car finally got under control. He's just lucky there weren't many people on the road at the time his car had a bout of temporary insanity... on a side note, boy was I glad to see that car go to the crusher.
