Been Thinking.

Well, Ive been doing alot of thinking lately, Been thinking about If I wana upgrade myself to a LS1 now or wait 2 years when im out of college and get a used Vette instead or maybe win lottery for a 5th Gen. See I make a decent income at my job that I can sell my car and get a small loan to get a LS1 but money would be tight after that. So Im coming to the conclusion since the V6 is now paid off :eleph: I think ill just hold onto it and finally start going at it with the engine. IMO a V8 would be sweet but at the same time to have a V6 Camaro thats fast and turning heads is something else. So im gona take the option of keepin the 6 and do some big mods to it and just wait a few more years before I get my V8 aka Vette or 5th Gen something.

turbo 6?

blue89vert 10-29-2006 03:16 PM

ls1 ftw

The V6 is paid for, I say keep it. I don't think you could really enjoy the LS1 if you're always worried about money or not being able to go out with friends whenever you like.
I've been in both places during my life and would much rather have a cheaper car and not worry about money.
I think a 13 second V6 is much more impressive than a 12 second V8.

no, dont mod your six. just save your money for the next few years, then you will only need a small loan later.

go turbo, im telling you. you'll love every second of it.

I agree 1000% with Chad

My ultimate goal is to put an LS1 in my car... If I ever keep saving up, and come up with enough, I will do that.

But for now Im keeping the 6. I have no rush... Ill have more money someday.

it's nice not having a car payment, means you can afford other stuff

then you also pay for repairs :nana:

blue89vert 10-29-2006 07:07 PM

yea well when you can actually get to the engine and work on it, its a lot easier to work on yourself. my car has had 0 problems unless you count a dead battery from my interior lights not going off or running out of gas.
