two good friends where in the same boat as you, turned out that for both of them, their GF's were getting it elsewhere. The effection and was there, but there was minimal physical contact.

Seriously, some guys cheat just because they want to, it's who they are. Other guys cheat because occassionally want some new . I've never understood why guys who don't get any from their 2-7 year girlfriends don't cheat. In my opinion it's entirely justified. What the are you getting out of the relationship if you're not having your pipes cleaned once a week.
