I was talking about over revving by misshifting. I've never done this yet, but I know there are people who accidentally go into 3rd instead of 5th from 4th gear. With the rotary, you don't have to worry about floating a valve and having your piston tops introduce themselves to your valves... |

I've seen the damage a VW 16v motor can do through valve float, and it's generally terminal, or at least very expensive. I've got a 16v head here, that for some reason is missing a few valves, :dunno: but fortunatley I got it for free, for the block. |
