car came home today...
 

under its own power. went to storage, threw in a battery, it started right up, idled like a **** for a few minutes stalled once and then ran nice and smooth. tranny feels smooth as butter yet it has no first gear, ill be damned if i can figure it out tonite, almost fgeels like its not the tranny by how nice it shifted. drove it home from about 45 minutes away and no issues at all. oh and the boost, man did i miss the boost. oh and it sucks having to avoid things like pot holes and slow down for train tracks again, lol, in my truck i just kinda drive through , yup, anyways happy day just thought id share :D

LOL, I hated trying to avoid potholes in my Rabbits. I can't break the habit with the Altima. :smilie_d0

man i went over some train tracks too hard, and i havent been over them in my car since november and in the truck i just glide, hit them in the car and the crossmember brace bottomed out, my buddy said he saw jumps of concrete and dut come out form under the car, lol

and what happened to your first gear?? must have been a bitch to drive without it.

we were going to hamilton last nite and i picked a fight with a guy in a new m3 on the hiway, pulle dhim both runs, got off the hiway a e wminutes later and couldnt catch first, thought the shifter had come out of alignment as this tranny doesnt belong in the car and its taken hours to make it work, anyways get off the hiway and there sno first gear, it just feels like the shifter has run into a wall. so i drive across a bit of hamilton not using first gear pull into a parking lot and the car is locked in a gear, managed to free it up and it kept jamming up in whatever gear i stuck it into including neutral. at one point i hd to remove the shift linkages and free the tranny with a pry bar. so im guessing that the firs t gear syncro took a as it was grinding reall bad on a downshift and chunks of syncro are stuck in the gears. but after last nites trip hoime im not too sure anymore.
