meissenation, have you got your 7" lcd in yet? I was wondering where you were going to install it. I was on mp3car.com and saw a guy who installed a carPC in his Camaro and he put the 7" in place of the CD player. The only problem is that there was about an inch left over on the sides of the monitor. Are you doing this same thing, or are you instalilng somewhere else?

Well, unfortunately I have the 93-96 interior... which doesn't have the perfect capabilities that the 97+ interior has. If I had a stable job (Although I do start back up at my old job for a few weeks starting monday ) I'd upgrade the rest of my interior to 97+ since I have the 97+ console anyway. Alas, I had to make a custom bezel myself out of fiberglass. I'll proably be tearing that one apart and creating a new one once the screen comes and I can figure out sizes and such more hands-on.

Just ordered the power supply I need. Got it for only about $20 cheaper off ebay, but hey that's $20 more that I need. Hate being unemployed... been selling everything I can to afford this stuff. Once it all comes and the bezel is reworked to fit the screen, then it's just wiring and install. Will be VERY easy to do, as the power supply goes straight to the battery, a couple in line fuses for safety, and then another wire goes to my ignition wire, to detect when the engine is on or off. An "on/off" switch, and thats it!
