Does Anyone Still Use Citizen's Band Radios?
I remember the times before cell phones were common, all of my gang had CB radios in their cars and trucks. They came in handy a bunch of times when car trouble happened. I know truckers probably still use them but I wondered if anyone else did? I've been thinking of putting mine back in my car.

I've never really dabbled with CB Radio, however I have met people that do enjoy it. However increasingly they seem to be being replaced by the likes of skype, you can call anyone up internationally who has a skype account for no cost at all, CB seems to have a limited range.

Yes, they do have a limited range. I met a guy the other day who still has his in his truck. Talk about old school! I'll have to check into Skype, especially if I can keep it in the car.

It's still a trucker thing, but cell phones have taken over for anything else. It's a shame, though, because cell phones don't really do the same thing. You can't call out over a cell phone to see if anyone is around. Sad end to a really fund device, all because of the cell phone.
