Emission Testing - Lowered Cars
 

Does anyone know where i can take my car to be e-tested....its about 4-5" off the ground and i want a place that does not use a ramp and has the in ground system

where do you live? cause there are many it just depends on your location

My shop does it but our machine isnt working..

Also just so you are aware, even the in ground emission testing machines go a bit lower so if your control arm or something is rubbing good luck kid..Time to raise your car then :)

might be able to convince them to do the 2 speed idle test if your car doesnt fit on the machine

Most places wont do that because if they get audited they have to prove that the vehicle is either AWD or 4WD that you cant disengauge the 4WD system when doing idle tests ENLESS your vehicle is a diesel.

You think the shop cares that your car is too low? Hell no, they only make a little bit less then half the price of the emission test..
