Hard Drives

Hey I'm looking at getting a slave drive, and considering either Maxtor 250 gig, or Western digital 250 gig. Any thoughts from anyone on those?

they are all the same, but if it means anything ive heard more bad about maxtor then any other make

if your getting a western digital make sure its a SE the ones with out SE SUCK I see them alot i work at a data recovery store. Maxtors are good havn't seen many only the 30 and 40gbs diomand max 8's they always screw up. I like the seagate hard drives. never had a problem. and if your looking at a sata hard drive go for the WD Caviar SE16 SATA 300 MB/s hard drives

Does tiger direct have a store, or is it just online? I've never seen one in KW.

Yeah I checked their website, and I guess the only one is in Markham. Not sure I want to drive that far for a harddrive.

Agreed.
The ONLY drives I've seen fail have been Maxtor drives.
