umm.. i figured you could use two of those sheets you got from ebay you were covering everythign else in.. i thought they were a pretty good size??
|
probably, they'd have to be one continous sheet, it'd probably be like 100 for the carbon fiber, then the resin...
|
thats not that bad for a custom design liner.. one of a kind.. id def do it if i had your experience in the carbon area

Well, time for some updates. The pics really don't show TOO much (but it gives a great idea of all the friggen sanding I've done, look at the friggen floor of my "paint booth" now sanding booth; I have to figure out how to vacuum all that dust up so it's not floating around while I'm trying to paint.. Hard to tell from the pics, but it's getting there. Its mostly smooth to the touch; there's still tons of pits and crap like that, but since I decided to wrap in black vinyl, I'm thinking it only will need to be smooth enough for the vinyl to go on smooth. About two more hours of sanding and then I *might* do some thin layers of bondo, not sure yet. Anyway, here's some pics:

Dude, I think you have way too much time on your hands. :D
Its gonna look sweet when you're finished though. Now how about you come down to Austin and recover my door panels? |
:lolsign: I'm probably going to be recovering my own shortly here, with carbon fibering the armrests of the doorpanels, I'll have to take the "cloth/vinyl" section off at the very least, anyway.
