yup! well for starters theres this girl that i met, and shes so flippin( no cursing haha ) awsome... went on maybe 2 or 3 dates, and she currently at tuscon going to school for the summer and wont be back till the 14th. but today she said something that basically broke my balls, " your like my best friend!!!:banghead: " she said it in a happy excited mood... i was thinkin damnnit!!!! wtf? but what came out was, oh really.... haha damn dude, thats embarassing, well now i gotta think of a way to go pass that, haha damn those evil words!!! making many guys nights so lonely, well theres rebound girls, not to sound cocky haha but this time i dont feel like doing that:lolsign: . aww well, time to go grab a beer, get on the couch and take out my anger on the covenant on halo 2, sounds nerdy, but its halo!!!! who doesnt play that??? well

Also, have you seen 40 days and 40 nights? If you havent kissed her on the 3rd date yet, you have moved to friend status now haha... So you best make your move.

well....maybe it's not lost hope. Maybe she feels so comfortable with you that she feels that "best friend" vibe. That is not always a sign of no future for a relationship. I say don't give up yet, go out on a few more dates. Kiss the girl, try to get closer that way...if she takes the bait...then you keep going...If not, call it quits and be happy you found someone that you can either continue to hang with as friends or "nice to meet you..i'm outta here"

In a relationship you always need to be best friends...... So, maybe it can turn from best friends to lovers............ time will tell ;)

Cut bait and run. The closer you get to best friend status the further away you get from being seen as a dating option. You'll do yourself nothing but frustrate yourself. She'll start talking to you about guys she's interested in, you'll try to be that friend, but it will just eat you up inside. Especially when every guy she'll end up dating is a complete douchebag.

My advice is start spending less time with her slowly and put some distance between her and yourself. At worse you save yourself some heartache, at best she realizes maybe your a more viable option then just a friend and misses you being around.

Women are the worst at seeing what might be the best for them is right in front of them.

But that's my opinion from having made the friend mistake thing more times then any guy should.

Ok boys, here's the thing...... To even be able to say what she may have meant by that, I would have to know what happened on your date. From my point of view, I met this really great guy once, we had everything in common and he was like my best friend and I told him that all the time. He is still my best friend, not to mention, my husband. So you never know what she meant, only time will tell I guess. On the bright side, at least you have a hott car!!!

I've had a ton of guys that I considered just friends and later found out(like after being married )that they actually liked me.Well I never knew that.My guy friends were just that....they didn't act like they liked me,so how would I have known.My husband tells me all the time that he now notices that some of my friends probably liked me....apparently I was clueless,lol or he just imagining things(I'll go with that one).
I wouldn't give up just yet,but you need to definately make the first move as they say.Definately take her out on a nice date when she gets back in town.:)

Yea get that ****. If you got feelings for here just let it out. You never know maybe she is just shy and is just waiting for you to go for it. Either way you cant lose. You both will still be friends reguardless so just tell her.

I completely disagree on that one. If she seriously just wants to be friends with you and you throw out that you're looking for something more, chances are she's going to avoid you like the plague and things are going to get awkward. And a "I was just kidding" followup isn't going to get rid of weirdness.

If you do at the very least want to keep her around as a friend, then I would suggest not saying anything for a little while and see how things go.
