I gotta try this someday.

Only a person in North Dakota could think of this. From the county where drunk driving is considered a sport, comes this true story.

Recently a routine police patrol parked outside a bar in Minot, North Dakota after last call the officer noticed a man leaving the bar so apparently intoxicated that he could barely walk.

The man stumbled around the parking lot for a few minutes, with the officer quietly observing. After what seemed an eternity in which he tried his keys on five different vehicles, the man managed to find his car and fall into it.

He sat there for a few minutes as a number of other patrons left the bar and drove off. Finally he started the car, switched the wipers on and off--it was a fine, dry summer night--, flicked the blinkers on and off a couple of times, honked the horn and then switched on the lights.

He moved the vehicle forward a few inches, reversed a little and then remained still for a few more minutes as some more of the other patrons' vehicles left.

At last, when his was the only car left in the parking lot, he pulled out and drove slowly down the road.

The police officer, having waited patiently all this time, now started up his patrol car, put on the flashing lights, promptly pulled the man over and administered a breathalyzer test.

To his amazement, the breathalyzer indicated no evidence that the man had consumed any alcohol at all!

Dumbfounded, the officer said, I'll have to ask you to accompany me to the police station.
This breathalyzer equipment must be broken."

"I doubt it," said the truly proud Redneck. Tonight I'm the designated decoy."

LMAO..

I love this line "After what seemed an eternity in which he tried his keys on five different vehicles, the man managed to find his car and fall into it."

Heard it before, but so hilarious.

Heard it before as well..

BTW- not too many cops around here sit outside a bar waiting for drunks- its not a good idea... Drunk driving is a socially acceptable crime anymore. Its the only crime that has the potential to be a felony and a majority of people don't care if you are a convicted DWI felony- but take the same people and show them a felony sex offender and they are treated completely different.

Im only 22, and hang with a crowd that has the potential to get seriously sloshed.

But I can tell you, NEVER will any of us be driving drunk. We make sure of that. That is stupidity at its upmost. Want to kill yourself? Do it somewhere else, and dont take someone else out with you. Thats something I dont joke about. Heres my slogan.

"Drink and drive, and i'll kick your ***."

paarman97maro 03-04-2007 10:53 PM

Id personally kick their balls... theyll remember it.

Honestly- as cruel as it sounds if a drunk driver goes out and smokes a tree going 80 mph its not that big of a deal- what PISSES me off is when they hit a family head on and kill a couple members in the other car and the drunk walks away. He ends up only doing a couple years and is released. The family is never the same, and statistically the drunk will keep driving drunk when he gets out. That really chaps my ***!!

Exactly!!!!

Drunk driving should be treated as the crime it truly is and for some extremely stupid reason like you said people accept drunk drivers. They are risking everyone's lives because they have no control of themselves. I honestly feel that if you're caught drunk and driving the very first time you should lose your licsense(sp) for at least a year. Second time equals several years in jail. It's very easy not to drink and drive but I know if that was the law they'd all complain and say it's not fair.

i saw this coming when it kept saying how they all walked out and drove away while the cop waited patiently.
