I Hate Cops!!!

D*** Cop gives me a ticket for no front license plate and it was for $115 and I was like WHAT!!!
I got hearing with the judge but she send me during the hearing to go put the plate within 45 min. and she was going to dismiss the ticket so I took my car to a mechanic shop and they made two F***** holes in the bumper to put the d*** plate :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

RFF 10-31-2005 06:15 AM

Cop must have been real **** then. I know a few people that live in Texas and they do not have a front license plate.

DDxHellRaiser 10-31-2005 07:00 AM

Dude that is stupid....I dont think we have that law here in GA...

Should have had a plate on...

meissen 10-31-2005 09:56 AM

Surprisingly enough, I agree with Josh. Can't really blame them for giving you a ticket when you were in fact breaking the law. A lot of Texans do stuff to make it so the plate is visible but doesn't ruin your front bumper. Some people put the plate on the airdam, seen a few that just put it in the front windshield. I've seen people that put felt and/or the soft side of velcro on the back of their plate so it's all nice and soft, and then they ziptie the plate around the front of their bumper where the chevy emblem is (in on one side by the foglight, out on the other side by the foglight)

paarman97maro 10-31-2005 10:06 AM

Yeah I got a warning for that earlier this year... I put it on my airdam, so everyday when I scrape the **** out of it, I get a little anger over it out

97z2801ss 10-31-2005 10:35 AM

mines there its still illegal i gues but its there too paar

archemedes 10-31-2005 10:45 AM

I think it's fuuny when people get caught breaking the law (that they are aware of) and say the cop was a ****.Your a **** for complaining you got caught.Be a man and obey the law, or walk.

camaro_chic17 10-31-2005 12:10 PM

I've gotten three tickets while I've had it. The plate looks like **** so I'm not putting it on. My air dam is too low to see it hardly and I'd be very afraid to ever get in an accident with it in the front windshield and have it slice mine or my passenger's neck or something. Other placements are not accepted anywho. IMO it's a stupid, unnecessary law that's just a way for the state to make more money. One of the reasons I'd like to move away from NE

TorqueDog 10-31-2005 12:31 PM

Wait wait wait... did I read that correctly? Did you actually take your car to a MECHANIC to have your front license plate installed?! :banghead:

Can you even hold a screwdriver?

meissen 10-31-2005 12:48 PM

Lmao, that's a good point.

NoRiceInside 10-31-2005 01:23 PM

yeah i was thinking that. why did you pay a shop to do it? and what did you expect? how else does chevy install the plate? theres supposed to be a bracket that screws onto the bumper to install the plate.

the reason for the law was so that when your car gets stolen the police can see the plates comming at them, it's easy to steal one, but 2 is a bit harder

Its illegal here too, and several other places

SOMBirdV6 10-31-2005 06:18 PM

you could have just put it in your window and use suckion cups, that is legal as long as they can se it. I havent had a problem with cops pulling me over for no front plate. Not worth bitchin about when its the law. Your lucky they didnt get onto u for the blackouts there not legal in texas...well thr front ones arent not sure about the rears. No I dont have my front ones anymore I have done the whistler mod.

archemedes 10-31-2005 06:42 PM

a few states still have the law, some say no to windshield mount, the blackouts are illegal in all 50 states (Mi did away with front plates around '82 when they went to the blue plates)

They say it should be on the Bumper and, I ask if windshield was ok and they say NO.
And about Blackouts not even State troopers have said anything about it and they have stopped me like 2 times already. And locals well never say anything about it either

If they've said something about it, take the **** off, fix whatever you have to and quit complaining!

69z-28 10-31-2005 10:48 PM

i drove around for a long time with no front plate. passed many cops and never got anything about it. i had the z-28 emblem over the grille too so maybe they thought it has no place to go, idk.lol

you may have gotten lucky, maybe you are behaving well enough to not draw attention

robluvs2xlr8 10-31-2005 11:07 PM

The reason why most states dont allow them on the windshield is because if you get into an accident, unless the license plate is secure, then it will become a flying object.

meissen 11-01-2005 08:18 AM

Yeah that would hurt.

97z2801ss 11-01-2005 10:37 AM

its a bird its a plane its red alerts license plate!

meissen 11-01-2005 11:52 AM
