Im sorry but When the SS is parked next to the new GT like it was when I was at my dads work, i think the new GT looks gay....if i wanted a ****** 67 mustang id go buy one. thats the way i look at it. Your right the GTO isnt that great,Interior and drivetrain are neat..... Sucks the cobalts cost that much.....woopie do in time is all im saying.

Wow, do i ever so disagree with you. The New GT is said to have 300 hp, just like all the other GT's, the 05 gt has a terrible interior, and the exterior is the worst it's ever been.

That's just opinon just like the people who think it's the best exterior ever.

If the FBody come's back I'm not sure I would even buy one, I have lost almost all faith in GM after they destroyed one of the most reconized car's in the world. Don't get me wrong, I'm not buying a Mustang but at least Ford didn't kill it.

I agree, I dont understand what the big hype is with bringing back all the old styles, if they do that, all the muscle cars of today are gonna become big, bulky, and weigh more than the 4th gen cars we have, I highly doubt they'd perform any better, and would be put to shame easily by many LT1's and LS1's.

I just don't care for the whole retro crap. If that's the look people wanted then why did they change the look 35+ years ago?

now if ford hadn't screwed up the mustang braking it may be a decent car, but it takes farther for it to stop than an f150 auto sales are declining slightly, but gm is still the number one company in sales (performance cars only make up a small percentage of sales, the demise of the fbodies didn't effect sales by even 1% kind of proving a small point for gm)

The interior quality in the 2005 GT is actually the best we've seen from Ford in years, much better than the quality that some of GM's branches are putting out these days. The exterior looks awesome, and the body-panel gaps are very small, which isn't common for a domestic producer. The car is top-notch.

And for the last f--king time, the old GT had 260 horsepower, the new one has 300 horsepower, look it up and quit wasting my time.

I don't care what specs your going by, the fact is the new GT's are nothing to drop jaw about performance wise. Buddy of mine has an 03 GT with mild bolt ons and walks the retro GT's. I raced a retro black GT and yet my heavy LT1 vert with a bad coil was still able to win. I'd rather drive an old Foxbody then any of these new Stangs.

Oh for the last time people use your brain and understand the GTO is not ment to stand out from the crowd. The old school GTO were not ment to stand out but be more of a sleeper car and that is what the new GTO's are. They are sleeper cars that look plain but can be deadly if underestimated. The GTO's quality and interior are leaps and bounds ahead of the shitstangs by leap bounds.

You mean over GM's because GM is known for cheap interiors.

Anyways If I had alot of money id take a 05 GTO over the 05 Stang anyday. Im with chad Im not fan of this retro crap either its gona die out realy fast you watch. As for performance on the new stang its actually good for the car but it could have been much better. LS1 F-Bodys stock have no probs beating them even LT1s could beat em. Anyways, GTO lost to the stang in some mags yes but it performs much better then the stang. Only lost because of its poor style which isnt THAT bad. Id take one.

I like the new GTO's and if I was looking to buy a new car those would be one of the ones I would consider. There are other performance options out there than turbo/sc 4cyl....

I even think the GTO looks better.
