I want to book my G test.

I've heard the government passed some new legislature further limiting what a driver with there G2 can do. Ive had my g2 for almost 2 years (dec 5th) and I think its time I just took the test and got it over with. I don't know how to go about booking it though.

Also, has anyone here recently passed the G test? Could someone tell me what it consists of? Its been a while since I last took a drivers test so I'm afraid I might make a stupid mistake (i know how they can be).

Further, does anyone have any info on that new legislature?

Thanks.

i tired to book a test earlier today actually, the earliest date u could get was decmeber 11th, but once i when ot pay the 75 dollar fee it never would process :S

Here is where u book and pay for the test:
https://www.rtbo.rus.mto.gov.on.ca/s...lish/index.asp
You should be able to find anything u need on the links or websites.

Hopefully u have better luck than i did, im going to try again tomorrow anyways.
as for the new legislature i belive it mainly applies to, not G2 drivers but instead, drives under 21. Regardless I want to get my G anyways, who knows what is going to change with that bill.

Here is a new article about it:
CANOE -- CNEWS - Politics: New Ontario law to target young motorists

Im not sure tho, but from what ive heard resently the part about limiting the number of pasengers under 19 has not been included.

See this is where I call bullshit:

"Until recently, Premier Dalton McGuinty rejected calls to ban young drivers from drinking alcohol, suggesting it was something better left to parents than to a provincial law. He changed his mind after lobbying by the father of one of three young men killed in an accident last summer. "

I just turned 19 on tuesday. For the record I do like to party, I have been drinking under age for a number of years now and I have never driven drunk once, nor will I ever. I feel for the father of the dude that died but seriously, your son was an idiot for drinking and driving and just because he decided to drink all ****ed up dosnt mean every other person that's under 21 with a license does. ...Dalton needs to grow some ****ing balls and a brain. Changing laws wont do anything...really the only thing that would, would be to charge the parents of the offender..

It starts in the home, not in the courts.

ya i agree that some or even alot of us drive resposibly, but i also do know guys who do party and drive... its just wrong that we are being categorized by age.

21 year old drivers should be allowed to drink a glass of wine at a Christmas dinner and drive themselves him 3 hours later. McGuilty doesn't think so. The legislation is in strong contradiction with several sections of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. He will not be able to impose any of the legislation on those 18+ based on the Charter and the right to be free from discrimination. He could toughen up the system until the age of 18 but otherwise anything he does for 18-22 has to be done for 18+ to stand a chance at getting past the charter.

This is what we get for voting in a Liberal.

I just got my G this past august. Goto Downsview if its not too far from you, they seem to be the most chill out of all the places from my experience and what others tell me. Anyways for my test, they want to see complete stops, every single time. Check your blind spots, make sure that after you make a SAFE left turn, you make a lane change into the right lane. For the highway part, they just want to see a safe merge, and safe lane changes. Don't go for the test unless you're very comfortable and confident on the highway. Then they'll either ask you to do a 3 point turn, or reverse park, or both, so practice those as well. i think that's pretty much it, hopefully I didn't leave anything out, check the Ministry of transportation's website tho, they have a full list of things that could be on the G test.
