Job

Ok now that my wife has her degree and has making more than enough money for my to go back to school I need to find something a little better for me.
I just need something that pays hourly instead of salary, doesn't need to pay much at all. If it pays $9 an hour I'll be happy honestly. I'm tired of working around food and working crazy hours all the time including every single holiday.
I'm thinking about a simple bank teller job but the only problem there really is will I be able to get my hours? I see most of the jobs online are listed as part time.

I have very little welding under my belt so I definitly wouldn't be the first person they'd want to hire.

Being a teller for a bank seems like that would work for me. There's two banks very close to where I live, I could actually walk to them. That would be wonderful, actually being able to walk to work. No worry about gas, wear and tear, brushing snow off my car, etc...

I understand. But just so you know, most guys that come in have NO (ZERO) welding experience and have no f'ing clue what is going on.

sounds like a plan. Even if the job pays less, if you'll be walking to work, you'll save on gas.

Go part time sales person at a auto parts store, I worked at Advance auto parts before I joined the Army. It was an awesome job just for part time hourly. I learned at lot from people comeing in ordering parts for thier projects and such. And they worked around school for me while I was there. Plus the 20% employmee discount on everything was great.

Thats just a sugestion. But the banker job does sound pretty easy and if they work around your schooling it would be cool.

What type of schooling are you going back to a community college or doing it online?

9$ an hour here is an unlivable wage... i make 9.50 an hour and it still sucks.... :banghead: but since you going back to school, finding a job that doesnt pay that much isnt a big deal.

It's unliveable here as well. But my wife's an accountant and makes really good money for her age so this is money to just help out.

yea, that makes a lot of sense, luckily she has a good job. Good luck on the engineer degree, my fasher was a combat engineer years ago before he was AGR (Army Guard Recruiting) in the army national guard.

If it is that easy does it get boring really fast and make the days take forever? That's what I'm worried about. But if it's easy and keeps you busy then that'll work out. I'm want to get into the bank right by me which is only open from M-F 8-7 and 8-1 on Saturdays. This would make life a lot easier for me. Plus with my wife working M-T 7-4:30 and 7-11:30 on Fridays we'd actually get to spend time together which we never do now.
