logmein.com

I had a customer come in today that i helped out and before he left he told me about this site; logmein.com

Ive been wanting to do this for a really long time (remotly connect to my home computer). This site allows you to do so for free! Just set up an account and you can manage many computers remotely. Its cool cause you can work on your computer (from somewhere else) as if you were at your computer.

I know its kind of useless to many of you but just thought id share a good service ;)

I personally dont like the idea of someone being able to remotely access my computer.

Yeah, it is pretty useful... Although I would never really have a reason to do it, its cool nonetheless the first time you try it out.

Hows the service, does it stay connected well, or is it ******?

You had a customer teach you? :nana:

remote desktop (microsofts version that is built into xp) is a big vulnerability, and I can guarantee you that if you have any personal info on your computer and allow connection to a remote computer, you are opening yourself up to identity theft (all the experts tell you to shut all that stuff off as it is no where near secure) maybe after about 10 years it may get better, but right now it's not worth the risk

Most people can prevent spyware.
