LoL credit card people are funny.

I just got a First National Card in and after you use the card for the first two months they stick you with a 100 activation charge, lol and these people actually think I will activate their card. :lolsign:

That sucks! Why the hell would they charge you to activate it?

I've been getting loads of phone calls from credit cards lately. I got a call for the GM card, so I actually listened to the person who called me and said it was ok to send me some information....this is how part of the conversation went:

"So, what type of car do you currently drive"

I said, "A 2000 Camaro"

She waits for a moment....and then says "A Camaro what? What kind of make is it?"

WHAT THE HELL? She calls me for the GM credit card, and doesn't even know that the Camaro is a Chevrolet model......

Sorry, I just found that incredibly ironic.

yeah GM sucks, we all know that.

but this tops them all...

i got a call the other day, i was pre-approved for a fixed 1% mortgage!

pre-approval still doesn't mean that you will actually get it.

GM doesn't own the card they pay to have their name on them then get some payback with the perks stuff

RFF 05-12-2005 12:55 PM

Funny thing is I never even signed up for this card.

yea with the GM card u can save on GM cars

archemedes 05-12-2005 02:15 PM

alot of companies have the activation charge for people with little or bad credit it's kind of a security deposit

meissen 05-12-2005 04:18 PM

yeah I got a credit card in the mail saying "Congrats you've been approved!" with the card and an actual letter as if it was Citi Bank or some actual credit card company (made me try to remember if I had applied to these people or not, which is I think their point is to fool you into thinking you actually did apply) and to call to activate the credit card. I read the letter, said I was approved for $6,500 and the last paragraph in smaller print said "$200 activation fee."

camaro94 05-12-2005 09:53 PM

there is usually an annual fee on a lot of those kinds of cards, too. I get at least 1-2 a week like that, I just toss 'em. I already have enough credit cards without those dumb fees to use, I don't need one with it.

97z2801ss 05-13-2005 12:08 AM

yea i get credit card **** all the time i dont want 1 yet
