Mass Effect and Viva Pinata
 

Anyone played these games, and have opinions on wether they are good or not? Mass effect looks good, Im just not sure if its my type of game.. Im not usually into RPGs, although I enjoyed KOTOR, and a couple others. My friends said viva pinata is kind of a fun game. Theyre both on microsoft expertzone, and I have some points built up, so Im wondering if I should pick either or both up.

I have Mass Effect but I haven't played it yet. Well I played about 15 mins into it.

I'm thinking it's going to be pretty boring, yes RPG aren't fast paced the entire way through but it seems to be just talking and then picking one of three answers for everything.
And this is coming from someone that's been playing Oblivion nonstop for the past three or four weeks.

I heard that Mass Effect was an awesome game, but that's what my bro says. The types of games he likes and the ones I like are totally different. He likes Bioshock, I'm not into it. He finsihed the story mode of Halo 3, I played the first part and stopped. He played a little Need for Speed and stopped, I finished it in a week..... So yeah....

And I haven't heard anything about the Pinata game other than the commercial for it was funny...

Mass Effect is a really good game, in my opinion it is more of a 3rd person shooter than an RPG. Some people say that there is a lot of talking but you can actually avoid most of it, although if you do you miss out on the storyline.

maybe ill order them up...its $9 each. so I might as well

Well I finally started playing Mass Effect and it is one of the very few games I don't see myself every playing again. I might try it again later but as of right now it is extremely annoying and stupid.
I just picked up Mario Galaxy for the Wii which is rated as the second best video game ever so we'll see.

I did play Viva Pinata.. Its a pretty fun game. Its kind of addicting, I played it for like 2-3 hours. Its a good game for being kiddish.

Mario Galaxy is an excellent game. I didnt play it enough.. my Wii has actually been at my parents house for a couple months. I need to get back to that game though. Im suprised its ranked as the second best game EVER.. its a good game, but I still think mario 64 is better, let alone out of every game every made.

Well a ton of people love Mass Effect so hopefully you'll like it.

I've only played like 20 mins of Mario Galaxy thus far and it's been pretty fun. Hopefully everything isn't all these small little planets, I think that actually takes away from the game but that might just be me. Seems like something they did just to show off what they can do.
I agree, it's ranked to high when you consider all the PC and console games out there.

the planets eventually get bigger.. but theres different worlds and such.. I only got to about 20 stars.. my cousin got to like 50-70 and she said theres really fun planets down the line.

What didn't you like about Mass Effect?

So far I think Mass Effect is a pretty cool game. The one thing I hate about these games is theres like 8 million buttons and **** to learn. I have no idea what the **** Im doing but running and shooting. Itll take a while to get used to. The graphics are amazing though!
