Well it has been striking me recently that people come on this forum just to sell cars, and that really doesnt seem right. I think we should instill a 40 post rule. This is that you must have at least 40 posts to sell a vehicle or your post gets deleted. Just a thought so we dont have people using this as a tader.ca forum.

Who cares how many posts TTZ_JSpec has, what his age is, or if he has a car or not - he seems to be putting forth non-retarded BS on here, unless I've missed something - I didnt know you need a car to post.

I agree that there r dumb posts on here just so ppl can sell their rides - so how bout this -> min 10 - 40 posts + PLUS must be a member for at least 4 weeks or something - I dont care either way really myself.

I agree, it is a great idea and is something we will be talking about again forsure. I think the 4 week wait policy is pretty decent too!

As for this being TSR. LOL, stop living in the past, i own the domains (.ca & .com) still, but this is hardly TSR . TSR died when mark sold it.

It took us a while to finally do the 10 post idea because not everyone who just posts in the classifieds is a join/post spammer.

With the addition of the 10 post rule we seen a LOT of regular users spam the board just to use the classifieds.

Likely, best thing i could do is change the 15 minute time limit of being bumped up to being allowed to post in the classifieds to 12 hours.

Your ideas are def. being considered. :thumbsup:

I always check to see if theres deals on parts or cars when I come on the forums. I see this site as a good way to get deals on used parts and cars. I dont know why people coming on this site to sell or buy things would bother you.

The site is supposed to grow and expand as a community. Successful car sites (www.beyond.ca for example) are a community of people who come on and make the site worthwhile. If someone only comes on for one section, it defeats the purpose and wastes bandwidth (kind of like most of your posts )

I don't mind ppl selling their gear/rides, but polluting the forum with BS just to get the required post to sell their stuff kinda makes a mess of things at times

Plus it might get rid of some of those pesky ads

I like the waiting period thing, some forums use a trial membership thing for like a week then they get full status to post in the buy/sell section.
