my LS1 has become more trouble than i bargained for....
 

dont worry, nothing is mechanically or physically wrong with the car, but the story is still crazy!

so i went to get something to eat between classes... so i went to my favorite korean place about 10 mins away from campus. i eat, pay and leave. when i walk to my car, i see 2 ladies in a dirty green cavalier with no hubcaps that pulled up to my car and were looking at it. i was getting in my car when the driver rolled down her window and asked "is this your car?" of course i said "yes it is" she replied "oh ok, my friend has one just like that" of course in my mind im like yeah your prolly colorblind (the only other camaros ive seen in ceyenne red are v6s not z28s)...

so anyways they take off (yeah they werent going to eat, just scoping out my car >_< ) when i stopped at the access road intersection they were in front of me... they had turned, then a couple of mins later i turned and went on my merry way... or so i thought.

it's 3 long streets to get back to campus. so i go down the first, turn onto the second, then turn onto the third...and i see a dirty green cavalier in my rearview mirror. so thats when i got a lil suspicious....

i wasnt very far from campus at all, so i decided to just get back. they followed me into campus. so i went looking for a parking spot (keep in mind there's a lot of twisty turns in the parking areas since the property sits on wooded areas and a river), they followed me with every turn. so i decided to see how far they would go. i took all the turns (even un-necessary ones) very fast and made about 5 laps around the campus... they were still following me around.

then i found a campus groundsworker, so i stopped and told him my situation and if he could please call campus police since i didnt have the phone number. i also told him, i would keep driving around until they find me.

so i did about half a lap around, by this time there was a lot of traffic around campus...so i quickly weaved between cars so i could at least get ahead a couple of carlengths. not too long after that, the campus cops found me, told me to pull to the side and wait, and they went after the cavalier.

so the other campus cops came over to me to get my ID and other info and asked for the whole story. then i waited a little longer.

they came back and asked for a description for the car and its occupants, i gave the description and it matched. turns out they had been following me because they thought i was driving a stolen car. but i wasnt...they were just stupid b*tches! :mad:

capmus cops detained them for following me (harassment i guess), tresspassing on private property and who knows what else...after they are taken into city police custody.

made me pretty nervous :yuck: ...and i never drove that fast thru traffic and sharp turns :eek:

and once i was parked and safe, i thought to myseld... "**** this car is just asking for trouble"

but dont get me wrong...i aint getting rid of my pretty Z ;)

haha that's hilarious! So the girls thought you stole there friends car?! Oh and btw that has got to be the the best looking 4th gen Camaro i have ever seen. Honestly, i think this is the first time i've ever seen your car and it is BEAUTIFUL. :P

yeah it does suck though, they honestly thought their friends car was stolen so they wanted to get it back...now theyre in jail. eh i guess they deserve it. maybe they shoulda called their friend to see if it was actually stolen :lolsign:

Ronin a word of caution, just cause they said that don't trust them. Their is still a chance they were waiting for you to park your car and either mess with it or call in some people to steal stuff off the car. Odds are it was just a pair of dumbasses but you never know.

that dumb just means u need to do something so they know its yours

trust me i thought about that too....thats why i didnt stop driving til the campus cops found me
