My New - New Car Thread..

I'll try not to make this difficult. This thread is for me, I need to keep my eye on some cars for me to buy when I get home, so try not to hijack this thread. Unfortunately I can't print out a shitload of stuff, nor can I save a whole lot to my computer, hence this. So uh... give feedback if you want, but its not expected..

Thanks

69z-28 11-26-2004 09:09 AM

are all 35th's verts? cause i didnt know that if they are.lol

NCamaro94 11-26-2004 10:23 AM

camaro or truck

94customcamaro 11-26-2004 10:57 AM

I'm loving the camaro, but I've always been a fan of the lightning too. Tough choice if you ask me.

Mike Jones 11-26-2004 03:57 PM

Don't hate me guys but here's my list:
Cobra (It has 390hp!!)
SS
Lighting

NCamaro94 11-26-2004 04:13 PM

true cobra does have a lot of power, but don't cobras have factory sc's? or did i read it wrong? put a sc on that 35th then that camaro will be faster than the cobra.

Put a supercharger on a Z06 and it'd be faster too, what's the point? For the same price the Cobra's already faster and for the four grand needed for a supercharger and tuning you could make the Cobra even faster.

That's true. The mustang has a nice look to it, but it still doesn't compare to the camaro in my eyes.

My friend has a 2002 mustang, but i'd take my car over it anyday. It's alot of what look you want to go for. I wouldn't mind having that mustang though, I'd just have to park it away from my camaro.

97z2801ss 11-26-2004 04:21 PM

forget the cobra, the SS will be worth more, that cars more of an investment.

No they had Ttop 35th annv. camaros aswell.

robluvs2xlr8 11-26-2004 10:20 PM

Based on the cars mentioned, I'd purchase the 35th SS.

The 2002 model camaro is pretty **** reliable.

Buying a car is not like buying a house, cars depreciate.

Me, too.

Is a STi or an Evo an option?

Where's the torque?

They have torque along with great handling. Their ET's for both the 1/4 mile and auto X prove that.

robluvs2xlr8 11-27-2004 01:49 AM

That's due to the AWD.

And AWD is a good thing to have. :)

JimmyFrance 11-27-2004 02:49 AM

I say go cobra.

McGruff 11-27-2004 04:14 AM

To be completely honest with you guys, the only reason I would get the Cobra over anything would be because of the DOHC (GT's have SOHC). I don't care too much for the S/C, cause I'll end up getting a Kenne Bell shortly after purchasing the car. Right now, what I'm looking for is a late model SS, red, leather interior, 6sp., no steering wheel mouted stereo controls, and low miles. If I can find something like that, then I will dress it up nice.. I have good taste so no worries...

The only thing that is keeping me from going Ford is the fact that the roofs don't come off. Right now I'm geared towards Corvette, Camaro, Trans Am/Firehawk. It all depends on whats available and if the price is right.

NoRiceInside 11-27-2004 04:21 AM

and then the z24 on the side right?

If im not mistaken arent all the new mustangs 4.6's? if they are thats ********. and the cobra is like top of the line mustang and they still have a 4.6 right? i say that 35th would be sweet as hell.

NCamaro94 11-27-2004 11:03 AM

you can't go wrong with a vette:cool:

SOMBirdV6 11-27-2004 11:17 AM

Id say get a SS or a Firehawk.

meissen 11-27-2004 12:58 PM

if I bought a mustang, I'd have to invest in 4 grand to gut the entire car's body panels and interior to conver it (of course it'd mostly be a custom fit) to a camaro. :D

1BADVETTE 11-27-2004 01:01 PM

cobra, then camaro, then lightning

RFF 11-27-2004 02:33 PM

Ever thought about getting a Cobra R?

NoRiceInside 11-27-2004 04:07 PM

get that trans am! that is awesome! only downside is the stupid radio controls on the wheel...like adams :p

97z2801ss 11-27-2004 10:05 PM

yes car depreciate in value, but thats what they said in the 60s and 70s about them gass gusslers???? now look. The 35th Annv. SS will be a collector item someday.

maybe it was marketed as a collectors item which kills value, a car is only worth what someone else will pay. The pace cars from the early 80's are almost worthless it used to be any pace car was worth more
