Alright, this is hard to post really. I have had very small thoughts on selling my car. But I do have some questions on it...you see we bought my car with a loan from the bank at the cost of 8 grand or so. To this day the car is not payed off so im just curious what ways would there be of selling it and actually making something off it? The car is still work 8 grand as checked on KBB and other sites but if i sold it for 8 id have to pay it off correct? that would leave me with like 3-4k. Is there like any other types of options? Please dont go DONT SELL IT because its just a small thought and it COULD happen but I doubt it just thinkin outloud here. But life is getting ready to change and get busy etc....

So you have 3-4 grand allready paid off? If so and you sell your car for the 8 grand you will get that as a bonus.

call the bank ask what payoff is (usually less than you think you owe since interest usually comes off)

I've looked at this a number of times. I always think "Well I could sell the car and get X for it." but then I look at "But it stands me Y. So does X - Y equal an amount of money I'd be happy with for a downpayment on a new car? Can I actually get X for it?"

If X > Y, you should be okay.
