Hi guys,

i jus bought a 96 civic with a 2 generation B16A motor but i need to have it emissions & safety tested can anyone help me out with the papers cause i cant find anyone that can do it for me!!!

i would appreciate the help thankx

That's a bit vague. Bought a car with no paperwork? MTO office armed with VIN. Hope it isn't stolen or have a lein on it.

You can safety anything. It will be done as per whatever current owner is registered. You can use it to change it to your name.

Same with etest. If it has been tested within 12 months another etest is not needed to re-register in your name. The MTO computer should record the last etest date.

Bought a car that cannot be saftied and/or etested and want to find a crooked mechanic to provide fake papers? Tough! Fix it or get something else. (no offence meant if this does not apply)

Shady mechanics are much harder to come by then people think they are. The penalties for a fraudulent safety are quite steep, and not worth any amount of money you can offer a mechanic. Just thought I'd add that. :smilie_da

A 'special' safety is hard to come by these days. Mechanics face a lot more then a fine so fewer are doing it.
