The cause was the use of non Nokia batteries... They were some cheapy ones that were probably bought @ the flea market.

Ok was it just me or did anyone else notice anything weird about that stoy ?

"He had his phone tucked in his shirt pocket" ?!?!

So how does a cell phone exploding in your shirt pocket cause you to loose a leg and toes ? On top of that he was working near a high voltage pole, and he's a welder so it's pretty safe to say he was welding. Now with all that high voltage flying around did no-one stop to think that maybe the EMI from his phone ringing somehow caused an electric shock ?

he obviously had his shirt wrapped around his waist.....
