ooo.kool. this kid i know has a 91 tsi or some year liek thatm hes got a bigger turbo, turbo timer, boost controller, downpipe, full exhuast, no cat, race clutch and the higher performacne rear end. i guess its a 4 bolt? that make sense? ne ways he runs like 19 pounds while driving around normal. his best time was 13.7. he also gutted the a/c and power steering.

the early 1st gen had a 6bolt motor

no offence to you buddy but with an aftermarket turbo and 19lbs he should be doing alot better than a 13.7 . has he ever got it tuned since the turbo swap? I would say my 96 runs right around there and i dont have bigger turbo or even fuel mods. I do plan on getting a pump and injectors so my AFC will actually have some use though

you can have the best performance mods in your car but they are useless if improperly tuned. A buddy of mine at a performance shop spent a couple days tuning his car got a 13.1 on a comepletely stock motor(and stock turbo)

Yeah, a 9.2 1/8th turns would be about 13.7-.8...somewhere in there, I'm pretty sure, so I believe you're running a little fast.

But yeah for that guys friend to have ALL that done to his car and be a tenth faster than mine stock is either very sad or wrong.

hes never had it tuned, he just set his turbo timer and stuff. plus he didnt go all out cause it was his first run and he had no helmet and they got mad and said if he ran faster he needs a helmet.

nah its cool. i was in the car with him one time along with one other kid, so 3 people total and we were screwin around and there was i think it was a newer z-28 like 98-up and he had exhaust and prolly a few other things but he was actually keepin up with him, it was a dead even race. i thought hed actually beat the guy if we werent in the car with him and plus it was a really hot day, so turbo wasnt exactly running perfect.
