im using cs2, it could possibly be a virus on your computer or even spyware, get a virus scan going and see if anything comes up. could also be a driver issue, see if you can't upgrade.

you wont find photoshop cheap. Unless youre pirating, which you probably dont want to openly talk about.

Its also depending on what OS your running, how much ram you have, what processor, ect. Thats the kinda info youre gonna need to help you.

Mike is right, it could very well be a virus or spyware, but get some system information to get a better idea.

Okay, you didnt really answer my question.

What OS are you running?
What processor do you have?
How much RAM?

All this plays a factor which programs are suitable for you.

there are a couple of viruss right now that are not being detected by installed anti virus software, they are a pain to get rid of since they take over your anti virus making you think it updated and it hasn't

paarman97maro 01-15-2006 02:13 PM

One reason could be that its a celeron. Those typically are slower processors, and I would guess that it actually runs at about 1.8 or 1.9... More ram will speed up photoshop, as its REALLY intensive of system resources.

If its not your system, then yes its a virus or spyware. What antivirus are you running? Are you sure you have all recent updates? Do you have any spyware software? Spyware wont show up as a virus, you need other software. Try Spybot Search and Destroy or AdAware.

green_machine 01-15-2006 07:58 PM

i have avg anti virus, adaware and spybot, and i downloaded the updates before i ran it,

my photoshop isnt slow it just stops workin and i have the toolbars dissapear and wont come back
