well since the redesigned PS2 is only 130 i was thinking of getting one. only real reason is GT4. ive heard gran tourismo 4 is awesome, so question is, would it be worth getting a PS2?

i think paar has GT4 and its sweet. it was one of the GT games and it looked pretty sick! i think it would be worth getting PS2 just for guitar hero lol. you would feel like a *** playing it but i hear its fun

GT4 is pretty good- I bought it when I had a PS2. It can be hard at times, but it can also be fun because its somewhat realistic. I'm waiting for a game that actually takes damage into consideration in a real fashion. You can still go 160mph into a 180* turn and drive away- when you end up in a smoldering wreck, that will be a realistic game to me..

i hate the turning and handling aspects of GT4, idk if they tried to make it seem realistic, but i will lay on the turning button and IMO if you jerk the wheel at 100+ MPH you are flying into the wall, but it kinda just moves really slowly and pisses the hell outa me. i hate the handling of the cars in the game.
IMO i like Need for Speed Underground 2. idk how realistic it is, but the drifint and racing really is quite fun IMO. you can crank the wheel and powerslide a turn, do donuts, drift turns, and really whip the car all sorts of ways which i like the most. dont buy PS2 just fot GT4 IMO. if you get it, get all the GTA games and need for speed. youll be happy.

Gran Turismo is a freakin sweeeet game.
But, i'll be honest, i think that Forza for x-box has better physics.
Xbox costs more than a ps2...but you might consider getting a ps3 or xbox 360, as the playstation plays a huge majority of all the ps1 and ps2 games.
And the xbox 360 plays a good chunk of the original xbox's games.
But try and play both forza and Gt4 and see which one you like.
They're the two best racing games out there.

the only reason why I was disappointed by gt4 was because it was nothing but 'more of the same' GT3 brought everyone into the next generation of racing games, and was the complete package. GT4 was boasting to offer so much more, and after several delays and pulls from the game, all we were left with was the same game, with a few more tracks and cars....GT5 looks even worse because you'll be required to purchase tracks online, which is idiotic

I think the graphics just get better haha.. thats the only thing... oh yeah, and they reorganize the menus
