Anyone getting one Friday?

I dont get why theyre so damn expensive.. Im betting theyll drop the price within 6 months. They look nice, and I want to try one, but I refuse to pay that much... Ill have to make friends with rich kids now, damn it.

My dad and I might be getting a couple to sell on ebay and make 200 % profit.

i thought they were supposed to come out on the 7th????

Blu-Ray makes it expensive, A regular Blu Ray player is ALOT more then a ps3. I want a PS3 but im going to wait. For christmas my parents are getting me a 360 so im fine....I want a Wii to haha.

I'm gonna wait a little while to get one. I agree it's the Blu-ray that makes it more money.

I dont think Ive seen blu-ray, maybe I have... but I refuse to believe it looks THAT much better than HDTVs with DVDs. The movies Ive seen on my parents TV, and its not even a top end tv, look amazing to me. blu-ray cannot be $1000 eye candy.

HD-DVD and Blu Ray are basically the same but I agree I dont see whats so awsome about them. I watch DVDs on my regular tv and they look awsome already.

I personally dont think they will be crazy that you can sell them on ebay for more.. Since the price is already way up there I think that will keep alot of people from buying them the day they come out..

yeah im pretty sure if anyone sells them on ebay you'll get almost double what you payed for them. just like every other time any console gaming machine has come out, this will be no diffrent.

yeah I heard from a friend last week that people were already pre ordering for that much... crazy as hell. I already think 600 is high.. Kids are ****** insane.

im too poor to get a 600 dollar gaming machine. ill stick with ps2
